Founder: Pastor D.E. Phillips
Pastor Dorothy Phillips is the founder of Open House of Deliverance Mission. Pastor D.E. accepted Christ in her life as a teenager. Later, in 1952, she was healed and baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues. In 1967, after being delivered from death, the Lord spoke to her; "I spared your life for a purpose. I have healed you, now you must also take healing to your generation. Why sit here until you die. Get up and start marching by faith!" The following year Evangelist Phillips was licensed to preach by the United Church of God (Saint Mary's United Church of God). Later God led her to The Revivals for Jesus Ministries where she served as assistant pastor. After three years, God spoke to her and told her to reach the lost in a more direct way. In 1981, the Open House of Deliverance Mission opened its doors. God spoke to Pastor Phillips telling her that He would erect a building by a miracle, and no man would get the glory. In 1992 we moved into our present sanctuary, complete and paid for by a miracle from God! It is her goal to do the Great Commission: To REACH the unreached and TRAIN them to go forth to help REAP the harvest.
